Help design a new, connected consumer product
12th Jun 2019
CW has joined forces with a leading international manufacturer with a global market-cap of over £100Bn to develop a new internet-connected device concept. We are looking for a number of start-ups, scale-ups & SMEs to join an Innovation Hub for a 3-month, part-funded, collaborative project that will help shift a rapidly growing market to the connected era.
This opportunity comes following the successful completion of another innovation project for one of the largest beauty companies in the word. This awarded participating start-ups significant supplier contracts with the client, while reducing the time to market of a new consumer product by 18 months. CW are now looking to apply the same process again.
Ideal participants will have demonstrable experience in developing one or more of the following:
- Smart and connected devices
- Sensor technology integration
- Product ergonomics and design
- Exceptional user experiences
- Smartphone apps
- Cloud data platforms, analytics and visualisation
- Machine learning and data processing algorithms
- Data security processes
- Wearables
All expressions of interest must be received before Friday 22nd June; simply fill out this quick enquiry form to find out more.
Based on the Cambridge Science Park, successful applicants will work on-site alongside the client’s Risk Reduction team, their R&D team, the CW community and local technology mentors to design a prototype portable, instrumented vaping device. The work will be part-funded and, if intellectual property from the Innovation Hub is taken to market, start-ups may negotiate commercial terms.
I look forward to hearing from you if you have any questions or would like to apply to be a part of the Innovation Hub.
Kind regards,
Abhi Naha, Chief Commercial Officer, Cambridge Wireless
